Ferring Pharmaceuticals Inc.
Ferring Pharmaceuticals Inc. is a privately owned, international pharmaceutical company that offers a line of products in the U.S. market and worldwide.
Ferring specializes in the research, development and commercialization of compounds in general and in the fields of Reproductive Health, Gynecology, Orthopaedics and Gastroenterology.
Bravelle®, also known as urofollitropin, is a fertility drug prescribed for women who need medical help to get pregnant. In October 2015, Ferring Pharmaceuticals reportedly sent out letters to patients informing them that the company was voluntarily recalling Bravelle after tests revealed that certain batches of the drug weren’t as effective as they should have been.
This was after Ferring confirmed the results of internal company testing which revealed the drugs were no longer potent after one year. Specifically for Bravelle® batches sold between 2014 and 2015.
Bravelle® lawsuits are currently being filed as a number of women have claimed that Bravelle® did not work, arguing that they are owed money beyond the reimbursement Ferring is offering patients. See our Lawsuits page for more legal information regarding current Bravelle® claims and settlements.
