Bravelle®
- 2002 – the U.S Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved Bravelle® for use in the United States.
- 2006 to 2010 – According the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) National Survey of Family Growth, 1 in 8 couples have trouble getting pregnant or sustaining a pregnancy. Approximately 44% of women with infertility have sought medical assistance. By 2010, about 7.4 million women have ever received any infertility services in their lifetime.
- 2015 – Ferring Pharmaceuticals Inc. announces batches of Bravelle® sold in the U.S. and Canada between 2014 and 2015 had displayed “reduced potency”. More than 32,000 vials of Bravelle® were recalled, and Ferring Pharmaceuticals Inc. established a reimbursement program for patients who purchased the medication in the U.S. between March 27, 2014 and October 15, 2015.
Bravelle® lawsuits are currently being filed, as women have claimed the fertility medication did not work and have argued that they are owed money beyond the reimbursement Ferring is offering patients.
If you used Bravelle® between March 2014 and October 2015, it’s possible that you may be able to file a lawsuit against the company to recover compensation for costs related to the IVF treatments – not just the failed hormone injections.
